Activision – Call of Duty: Black Ops – COD TV
To mark the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops, Activision were looking for activity that would further raise awareness of the title and directly engage with the COD: Black Ops Facebook community.
Our idea featured a live interview with the COD team at Gamescom, whereby COD Facebook fans could propose and vote on the questions to ask. To further enhance the event, we teamed up with uStream to produce a live broadcast of the launch event that would be aired in real time on a bespoke Facebook tab.
The launch activity proved to be a huge success, with 102,700 unique views of the interview and event coverage, leading to 1,773,120 minutes viewed and receiving 7,090 messages. It was also awarded Gold in the Experiential Digital Events category at the 2011 IVCA Awards.
