Garmin GTU 10: The story behind the campaign
Garmin asked us to create and run a digital and social campaign for their GPS device, the GTU 10. You can attach the device to pretty much anything you want and track it on your smart phone and web browser.
The main challenge we faced was that because the device is so versatile, it didn’t have an obvious single target audience. So we decided to flip the problem on its head asking fans to tell us what their favourite thing in the whole world is. We also enlisted the support of a few of Garmin’s well known friends.
Each week an entrant was selected to win a GTU 10 and 48 of them, some of whom were also winners, received an illustration of themselves and their favourite thing.
