Saying goodbye to the Mo
30 days ago a small team of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas embarked on a mission, along with millions of others across the globe, to change the face of men’s health by taking part in Movember.

For those of you that don’t know, Movember is a global movement supporting prostate cancer and testicular cancer initiatives raising awareness and donations (in the UK) for The Prostate Cancer Charity and the Institute of Cancer Research.
The campaign has grown year on year in terms of funds raised and global registrants, hitting £48.5 million and 447,808 in 2010 respectively – with the UK raising £11.7 million of that from over 112,000 Mo Bros and Mo Sistas.
The fruits of this year’s campaign have yet to be announced but with continued support from television personalities, sporting professionals and big brands all bets are on that it will be the biggest and most supported yet.
It is the involvement of these big brands and how they have made the most of their social presence that has really intrigued me. Without wanting to detract from the wonderful work these supporters are doing I must just tip my hat to Old Spice UK, as they have really grabbed my attention by attending Movember Galas and the 5K Mo Run creating all important content for their fans, engaging new fans whilst raising awareness of Movember and the Old Spice brand.
So it’s with great joy that we say goodbye to the Mo and with sadness that we welcome back our girlfriends, or should that be the other way round?
